Discovery Vitality Blood Pressure Challenge – Rewards Not Honoured

I joined the Discovery Vitality Blood Pressure Challenge in good faith, based on the clearly advertised incentive: 5000 Discovery Miles for submitting an initial blood pressure reading upon receiving an iHealth Blood Pressure monitor, and a further 1000 Miles for completing the first weekly challenge. This is a 5-week challenge with a total of 10,000 Miles and R1,250 towards a Personal Health Fund upon successful completion.

I experienced delays in receiving the blood pressure monitor, which was already frustrating. Despite this, I proceeded with the challenge as soon as I received it.

I submitted my first blood pressure reading as required at the start of the new challenge week on Saturday, 21/03/2026. The 5000 Discovery Miles initially reflected on the challenge overview screen and then simply disappeared. To date, they have not been reinstated.

I also completed the first weekly requirement by submitting three readings by Tuesday, 24/03/2026. Based on the current state of this challenge, I have no confidence that the additional 1000 Miles will be awarded as promised.

I have been engaging with a Discovery consultant, Kaylin, who on Tuesday, 24/03/2026, requested information and assured me she would get back to me. Since then, there has been no feedback and no resolution.

This situation is unacceptable. It reflects a failure to honour a clearly advertised benefit. I am paying close to R10,000 per month, plus R600 for Vitality, yet I am not receiving the rewards used to encourage participation in this programme.

Beyond the financial aspect, this has caused unnecessary stress. Given that this is a blood pressure-related programme, the added frustration and lack of resolution is completely counterproductive and raises serious concerns about how this initiative is being managed.

I have all supporting screenshots and evidence of my submissions and communication.

If this matter is not resolved by 10AM today the 27/03/2026, I will escalate it formally to the relevant regulatory bodies.

I am requesting:

Immediate allocation of the outstanding 5000 + 1000 Discovery Miles A clear explanation for the disappearance of the Miles Proper feedback on why this has not been resolved despite multiple follow-ups

Discovery, please treat this with the urgency it requires.

I am following up because nothing has been resolved.
Despite logging a complaint about the incorrect Blood Pressure Challenge progress and missing Miles, the issue is still ongoing. The system continues to reflect incorrect information and no credits have been allocated.
What is most concerning is that this changes daily, yet no one at Discovery is taking ownership or fixing it properly.
I made it clear I need this resolved urgently. I am not prepared to wait while the issue drags on with no accountability.
This is now beyond poor service. It points to a deeper system failure and a lack of proper customer support.
If this is not resolved immediately, I will proceed with formal escalation to the Council for Medical Schemes and further legal review.

If you have had points missing or not credited or any other reason, don’t wait. The only way to get a proper response is to submit a formal complaint to the Council for Medical Schemes (CMS).
Make sure your submission includes:
  • A fully completed CMS complaint form
  • Proof that you’ve tried to resolve the issue with Discovery
  • Relevant clinical reports or account statements
  • Any other supporting documents
Send your complaint to ***. Taking this step ensures your complaint is formally investigated. Don’t let missing points go unresolved—escalate to CMS.
