Discovery Vitality 3 months free trial ****. Be warned Discovery are ****ming people and what is worst is they are taking money from your salary without signed consent or a signed vitality membership. I was unemployed at the time and only had a hospital plan.i was phoned and offered free complimentary vitality. I made it clear that if it came a cost I did not want it. The following month I was employed and chose to stay on Discovery Medical Aid and moved from a hospital plan to comprehensive cover. I did not opt for vitality at any point on the new plan. I disclosed full medical history of which my husband is terminal with END Stage kidney failure and peripheral artery disease and dementia as a result of the kidney failure . I received my new membership certificate and a vitality certificate clearly stating no cost. Four months later June 2024 Discovery started deducting money from my salary. I only became aware of this in November when I once again decided to move to a higher level of cover for 2025 and clearly stated that vitality was not applicable on my next level of cover once again. Discovery Medical Aid continued along with the salary department to take money off my salary without a signed vitality membership or signed consent or being informed by both parties that they are deducting money from my salary. Despite numerous emails and escalation neither party are prepared to take any responsibility or pick up the phone and consider rectifying this 🤔 mess ! They keep referring to their recording which to date they cannot produce. They have continued to bill the employer without signed consent from myself ! This is despicable and I am sure there are many other Discovery Members that are and have been ****med 🙄. This is definitely not what you expect from Discovery Health whom up and till recently I held in high regard. Disgruntled and very unhappy member. If my husband's health was not of a critical nature I would most definitely cancel my membership as Discover Health Medical Aid scheme has absolutely no compassion or consideration for their members and will continue to take money from members without signed consent or clarification! I was promised that Discovery Health would phone me before close of business and I have not received a single phone call. On the 18th of February I received a weak attempt of asking me what time would be suitable to phone me. To which I was alerted today on a different 📧 address.I was then told in writing by the consultant Roberto that I would be phoned 📱 before the end of the day .***..... Discovery Medical Aid is a disgrace when it comes to transparency and clearly are ****ming many members out of their money 💰 ...........
