Discovery - the money or the box/coffin?

This is getting boring! It must be my third or fourth review of Discovery for the same issue. What happened to learning from mistakes. Even AI does it better. I have been on chronic medication for a hereditary cholesterol condition for over thirty years. In the past two years, despite approving my chronic medication, Discovery in their wisdom seem to keep changing the rules regarding how much they pay depending on the particular medication prescribed. I see a highly respected specialist physician every 6 months for regular check-ups. In the past two years he has managed to get my cholesterol down from around 9 to below 4, an exceptional result. As this is not a lifestyle condition, I need to remain on medication to keep it down. Many of the more current statins are often out of stock which is a real bind. He recently prescribed a statin that is more readily available and one that he is happy with. You guessed it, when I went to get the new script a week ago, Discovery only paid a fraction of the total cost. This is the third time I am having to fight this same issue. I always have a moan with the pharmacist at Dischem about how pathetic Discovery is with this issue. This last time the lady at the counter said that they get a lot of complaints about Discovery and that it has been really bad this year. The best part is that when I come to Hellopeter, I get a call and it is all resolved. So, I am expecting your call Discovery, this is not going away!
