Discovery taking 2025 savings to pay doctors for 2024 procedures

How can you take my savings for this year and pay a Dr bill from September last year. I only get so much money for a year for my diabetics. You have just processed a claim and sent out that you will be paying a Dr Akoojee K M, Anesthesiologist for a procedure that was done in a day clinic on 2024-09-12. This Dr has never contacted us for a payment, no shortfall was mentioned on the day, no emails or phone calls from this person but now you take what little savings I have an pay this Dr more than R2000 for something that happened almost 5 months ago in 2024. Since when does Discovery do this. Now doctors know they don't have to worry about following up with patients because as soon as the new year starts and savings kick in Discovery will just make payment to everyone. Why??
