Discovery Smart Health Plan the most STUPID choice

<p>Discovery launched a new plan, the Smart Health plan. On paper it looks great, especially for someone who is healthy and doing sports. Practically it turned out to be the worst plan ever!</p> <p>It gives you the amazing benefit of unlimited GP visits to a Smart Health GP...the only problem is, my closest Smart Health GP is 200km away! It was impossible to know that before choosing the plan because you can only see the Smart Health GP's on the Discovery App, and only once you are already on the plan! A GP in town was keen to join the Smart Health Network - Discovery made it clear that he cannot, they are the only ones who can select you.</p> <p>I when to a Smart Health GP in Pta and asked to activate my sport injury benefit. She never did, so Discovery didn't pay my physio treatment after my sports injury. The specialist visit that they pay is also a trick to make the plan look better, but once you find out the detail - that they only pay specialists who directly claim electronically - you will know you cant use it, because nowadays all specialists work as cash practices whom you have to pay and claim back yourself.</p> <p>The video consultations is another good trick, because the My Dr Online app that you are suppose to use also doesnt work. Even the App where you have to search for a Dr also does not work anymore. I was in Durban, ill, and was searching for a dr a number of times, it just says there's no dr's! There is no list that you can access on the web or that the call centre can even send you.</p> <p> </p> <p>I phoned to complain. The call centre attendant tried to give me answers, but the fact is it doesnt work! I am still waiting for the dr to activate my sport benefit. No one has called me as was promised!</p> <p>Discovery, please, next time you want to try a new product, please use a focus group who try your experiments for free! Do not use your paying clients to try a plan that is disfunctional and waste their money! I have wasted a lot of money on your STUPID Smart Health Plan!!!</p>
