Discovery should be called di****ery!!!

Today I got the shock of my life when I heard how Discovery operates. My father, who is unemployed and mother, who earns less than R5000pm, received an sms that she needed to pay the new medical aid premium... slightly over R4300????? Inevitably the debit order reversed as there is no way she could afford that. It is shocking how these companies prey on vulnerable individuals probably thinking that they do not possess the requisite intelligence or capacity to challenge their malfeasance. Its a real slap in the face, when one considers the CEO earned a combined R37m in the last 2 years, yet the people are being **********.

After looking at the plan they offered my parents, its hardly any better than state hospitals. The options are extremely limited and extraordinarily expensive especially considering my parents age and income. Had I been made aware sooner, you can bet your life, there is no way chance I would have recommended my parents or anyone for that matter to this company as it is clear they offer less for more. Less benefits and service for more inconvenience and money. I honestly have nothing positive to say about this company and would recommend no one use it. Their vile acts are on par with companies like Bosasa, Steinhoff and VBS where the poor and vulnerable are victims of corporate greed.
