Discovery ****

I was with Discovery for just under 2 years, paying my monthly premium promptly. After my daughter was born, I had to take her for immunization injections, where my medical aid would pay. When i took her for her 6 month injection, I heard received the news that my funds have been depleted, which to me made no sense. I left it at that. A few months after that I took her to the doctor, and again I was informed that my funds have been depleted. Still nothing made sense to me because I've been giving these people R3500 every month, yet they refused to release my own money to me. I eventually decided that I can put my money into my own account for medical aid, because these people did not aid me medically. When I requested to be relieved from their pathetic services, they slapped me with a bill of R2300+. I then requested a breakdown of my activity as a discovery medical aid member. They breakdown included all my doctor's visits, as well as my daughter's, and everything was paid except for a total of approximately R2300 which was allocated to other. upon receiving this breakdown, they also said that I shouldn't reply to their email. Now they have handed me over to ITC-BA for an amount that they themselves can't justify. I've given these people in excess of R30 000, of which they only aided my medical expenses with R5000. now I find out I am the one who still owes them more money. This is completely nonsensical in my mind.
