Discovery says its JUSTIFIED to deny chronic medication.

I would give zero stars if I could after today.

For 10 years I have been on the same medication for serious health problems. Every month I go and collect before my tablets before run out, because I simply cannot function without them. We use to be allowed to collect our meds a week early for just that reason.

WELL NOT ANYMORE FOLKS!!! Count your days and count them well because Discovery says its justified to reject your collections.

Today my script refill on one of my meds was rejected because in Oct 2022 I collected twice in one month.... I collected on the 3rd and then again on the 29, now that's exactly 5 days (a week) early. Because of this I have apparently exceeded my yearly 12 collections... (since when is that a thing?) and clearly I am now being punished for it.

They blatantly refuse to have ANY kind of leniency toward someone who needs their medication to live a normal human life. I now have to go an entire month without my medication and all they have to say is that they are justified.

Whats worse is the sphincters who make that decision even hide behind their call center operatives, refusing to speak to the client.

I really think the amount of money I pay toward my plan JUSTIFIES that I get my medication WHEN I NEED IT and not in a months time when their math dictates it to be okay. Am I going to have this problem again on my other meds? Is this what our health care has come to in South Africa? Just like insurance companies you pay for nothing because the moment you claim they come up with a millions of reasons of why not to pay out.

What about people who would literally DIE if they dont drink their meds? Are you going to tell them their death is justified because your math says so?

Its disgusting and a perfect example of how the big guys stomps on the little guys because they know we cant do anything about it.
