Discovery refused to pay a medical bill for a child that was in NICU fighting for his life. They a 6months old child with Pneumonia is not that sick to be put in NICU. I guess my child was suppose to die since they refuse to pay the account

What discovery has been doing to me is really not fair. I have an outstanding bill for life fourways that they have not paid till today. I don't understand why I have to beg them to pay the account. I was told to get the Dr to write a motivational letter as why a child was admitted in to NICU the myself and the hospital have send that letter so many times but they still have not settled the account. I don't know why I have to be liable for a decision that was made by a qualified Dr that the child needs to be NICU. How was I suppose to tell the Dr that he must put my sick child that was weak and could not breath in a normal ward. Am I a medical professional. This is totally unfair that you expect me to sit with a bill of R43 000 and this was not a decision I made myself. I refuse to pay this amount. Discovery will pay it. This is not my fault. You guys told me that life fourways was on your list of hospitals. I am extremely upset.
