DISCOVERY REFUSE TO PAY FOR A AUTHORIZED PROCEDURE

Discovery refuses to pay for a Hospital account after Pre-Authorization was given on the morning of the procedure. They claim that they did not give authorization due to a Specialist Practice number they did not receive in time so they declined the Authorization that was given later that very same day after the procedure was done. They now claim that the hospital did not give the follow the right actions for they declined it right away on their side and the hospital still did the procedure after the medical aid declined the procedure. We did everything right on our side and the hospital had the practice number and did not give it through in time. Now we are liable for a bill that we had authorization in the first place. If we did not there would not have been a Authorization number in the fist place. Discovery is obligated to pay for it because it was performed remove Cancer. The patient cant be held responsible.
