Discovery poor communication

After several phone calls, emails, CT scan, ultrasound and doctors reports Discovery decided to approve my surgery. a procedure code covered 100% under the medical aid scheme and a split account for the procedure code not covered by medical scheme. I was happy with this arrangement seeing that at first they wanted me to do the surgeries separately. Not keeping in mind that anaesthetics on its own is dangerous. My surgery is booked for 15 June 2021! I called Discovery and spoke to Lee Cristal to make sure of the amounts for split account. After 42min on the phone with her she said the medial review team will get back to me regarding the exact amount. I received the call and Discovery decided to decline everything. I don't understand, a few of Discovery's consultants confirmed that the procedure has been approved and I received an email from Discovery wishing me well for my procedure with my authorization number and yet they declined. So what happened???
