Discovery, our arrogant big brother!
About three years ago, Discovery informed me that I could no longer receive Zestoretic medication for hypertension as a chronic benefit, but was obliged to take Listoretic in order to avoid a co-payment. I have recently submitted a new prescription for Listoretic to my local pharmacy, as apparently MedExpress will cease to operate at the end of March, only to be told that I would have to pay about R40 each month or change to Adco-Zetamax. No pre-warning was received although I have continued to pay R8400 for Discovery medical aid and have R37 000 in savings. I have raised my concerns by email on two occasions, but not had the courtesy of a reply.
