Discovery not resolving issue of double payment.

I joined discovery on the 1st of June 2017. I was given banking details to do an EFT, which was done.

On the first of July Discovery debited two months worth of fees.

I have sent several emails trying to get this reseolved, but to date nothing has been done.

I first tried to get the consultant that signed me up to assist, I am still waiting for a reply from him, it has now been over a month.

I have also sent three other emails to the contact email address provided on their website for queries.

Nothing but automated responses.

This is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with.

Reviewer Update

I have received response in email, and I appreciate the urgency with which Discovery contacted me following this review.

I understand that due to the fact that the incorrect ref number was used that the money was not allocated to my account. I do not blame discovery for this obviously.

But i sent an email requesting assistance with this issue on the 5th of July, and received no response.

And I don't really agree with Discovery's policy that I should now wait a further seven days from August's debit order run for that payment to clear because as per Discovery's response to me, my over payment has been in their account for at least a month now.

To make it worse I tried to contact Discovery about this over a month ago, but because of a lack of response from Discovery staff I am just expected to accept that a new month has started and so they get to delay repaying me for the over payment by an extra week.

I must say I do not really have any confidence that this will be resolved,
I have a feeling I am going to have to follow up on this next week, waiting for two to three days for a response, if I am lucky, and I expect it'll be the beginning of September and I will be in the same boat, waiting seven days from September's debit order run.

I don't think that it is acceptable that Discovery is holding on to my money for a further waiting period since this has been sitting in their bank account for over a month.
