Discovery not paying for chronic medication

I joined Discovery in 2015 when I moved jobs, prior to that I was on Discovery Health under my Dad's company's medical aid. I have been with Discovery for most of my life.

In 1990 I was diagnosed with Chronic Active Auto Immune Hepatitis, as a one year old. I have been on and off medication my whole life, with regular blood tests, check ups, scopes, scans and hospital visits.

In September 2019, I moved to the Wits Donald Gordon Transplant Clinic and was prescribed more medication, which Discovery now does not see fit to cover.

Discovery has said they'll cover the bills of my liver transplant when it takes place - thank you. But before I have the liver transplant, I still need to survive.

The medication that I have been prescribed is not being acknowledged by Discovery as chronic medication and is currently being paid out of my day-to-day savings on my medical aid plan. Due to this, my day-to-day savings has been depleted for this year. I cannot afford to pay for my medication every month going forward.

My doctor and I have been communicating with Discovery since September 2019 about the above, and it still has not been resolved.

I would really appreciate assistance, instead of someone saying "we'll get back to you" and no one gets back to me.
