discovery not been able to assist
Firstly ive joined Discovery medical aid thinking its the best well since 2015 ive been struggling with a hospital authorization then a specialist and now they have short paid my hospital bill but it states in full it s full hospital cover...
when joining the medical aid i was not explained how the process works of me having to see a Gp first then a specialist ? then had an emergency on Friday and had to go through to my Specialist and pay cash now when i need to claim back im been given a whole lot of stories....

this is one medical aid that has very bad consultants knowing this as i deal with them on a daily basis as im in a optical department.

My medical will be cancelled with Discovery as i will be joining a medical aid that will give me more benefits and a better service

THANKS DISCOVERY FOR YOU ****TY SERVICE
Thank you for your comment.
We've confirmed that you have been contacted and your query discussed. The hospital claim has been funded up to the arranged amount and we have requested the provider administration department to contact the hospital in this regard.
On your plan type, your chosen GP will need to fill in a Specialist Referral Form when you need to see a specialist and this will be sent to us for review. We will send communication if the authorisation has been approved. In an emergency situation you are more than welcome to go straight to casualty and have the hospital contact us from the casualty department with the relevant information.
Please do not hesitate to contact us on ***or email *** should you require any further assistance.
Regards
Annelize
