Discovery Medical Refund

I went for a medical to join the discovery medical scheme, after speaking to the consultant about this medical she said either the doctor can claim the funds from Discovery or I can pay it and they will refund me, the medical practioner advised me to pay it to speed up the process. To date there has been refund of this amount, there have been how many emails sent about this as well as phone calls. I have no other option now as to put a complaint on this forum as I am fed up with this, everyone you talk to sends you from pillar to post but nothing materialies.
