Discovery Medical - No thanks.

Recently resigned from Discovery Med Aid after being a member for 18 months. Reasons for leaving them are numerous, summed up as follows: Access: To go on their website is a freaky jungle experience. You can click wherever and will not get to what you are looking for as on each click they want to sell you something. If you try and call them, you get transferred from one robot voice to the other with no end result. If you very very lucky to get an actual human on the line, it is impossible to understand this person ... endless mumbling. Network Doctors: Discovery makes sure they only allow doctors who is in the same game as what they are .. making lots and lots of money. Most of these doctors you are just a number, as is the case with Discovery. Medicine: If you don't have the very top medical plan, you will suffer as you will get inferior, and outdated medicine only. This can and was proven over and over. Finally: Discovery medical wants your money, but if you not a top plan member or younger than 30, they are not concerned with your health .. even they try to make you believe it. One medical aid I will not recommend if asked.
