Discovery Medical Aid - WORST MEDICAL AID!

The worst medical aid I have ever had. Even the Doctors cringe when you mention Discovery. They basically cover nothing and charge exorbitant amounts. I have used a broker for years, I changed companies and my email address changed due to this. My broker failed to mention that the member needs to update details and due to this I had an unpaid account that has accumulated interest and been handed over and this is the first I am hearing of it, through the people I was handed over to. Of course the Discovery broker has washed her hands clean and made every excuse as to why it is not her fault. These people take your money and DON'T care about you. You are given a medical savings, and when you run out (because let's be honest, they never give you enough to cover a year even though you are paying excessive amounts per month), you are liable to pay out of pocket. But if you cancel before your year is up, you owe them all the MSA savings back. They tell you this is YOUR money to spend, but in the fine print, it's not. They control your every move. It's a money making scheme and I would never recommend them. Please ensure you read all the fine print when you sign up for Discovery, they will ensure to deplete you of everything if they can!
