Discovery medical aid withholding funds

I resigned from the medical aid in August and I am told to wait for 5 months to be reimbursed my money in the savings.<br> Whilst I cannot get anything from the medical aid why are they withholding funds from people.<br> <br> I have just joined a new company and discovery was an option for medical aid -I declined .Thats how you lose clients.
