Discovery Medical Aid Useless & a money making racket
Don't bother phoning a call centre. They dont care about anyone. They would rather pay a hospital bill of R100000, than pay chronic medication for approx, R2500. It doesn't make sense, really.

07 May 2026, 11:31After Discovery Health made my account active, it said there was no outstanding amount of money, now Discovery Medical have suspended tje account yet again due to an outstanding amount. Another case of the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. Treatment of Pensioners terribly wrong!!!

09 May 2026, 10:01Well, that was short lived. The 5 star rating for good service, where that came from? Discovery Medical Ai "unsuspended" (with R4600 msa let me tell you) my account when I said they would actually prefer paying a hospital bill of R100 000's rather than pay a merely R2500 in chronic medication. They "unsuspended" It shows one where Discover Medical Aid priorities lie.
Everything has to become a big fight with Discovery Medical Aid, unfortunately, before anything is done about it, or so I thought.
As of November 2025 I have been a pensioner. I haven't been treated like a pensioner by Discovery Medical Aid but ive heard within the Medica field that they are are renowned for doing this. *******io and *****ulent transactions weren't invented by myself.
Everything has to become a big fight with Discovery Medical Aid, unfortunately, before anything is done about it, or so I thought.
