DISCOVERY MEDICAL AID - only great if you don’t actually have any health challenges

I have been with Discovery Medical Aid for 20 years. It costs me R10000 a month to cover my children and myself. Recently had a major health challenge and require a PET scan - refused by the medical aid despite multiple motivations from my neurologist. Discovery ….you are taking R120 000 a year from me and refuse to fund a R32 000 scan - disappointed doesn’t even begin to cover how I feel. I was informed via an sms - not even a call and I am in the medical fraternity so I understand the nuances with my diagnosis. I fear for the non-medical user of your substandard service.
