Discovery Medical Aid Money naking ****!!!

A few months back I app**** to add my mother who's a pensioner as a dependent on my Discovery Medical Aid. Discovery declined the request saying that she is not financially dependent on me. What ****ed me off is that my mother is a pensioner who ears a salary and just because the underwriters decided that she can \afford"to pay the Medical Aid on her own with out even looking at the factors. When I called their call centre all I got was standard responses that those fools have been trained to say. My mother CANNOT afford to pay on her own. Discovery is nothing but a money making scheme!!! It's funny that they can allow you to add a \""partner\"" without any problems but when it comes to your biological parent it's an issue. <br> <br> I'm leaving this **** Medical Aid. The arrogance of those call centre agents is beyond me. It's time that government introduce NFH. Now my parent has to cancel her membership & go & she die at a state hospital because of red tape at Discovery. All they want is money and when they see that they'll be loosing it"
