Discovery Medical Aid is A JOKE

Please may I request that someone call and explain to me why I do not meet the risk criteria you have used to evaluate this case, as a paying medical aid member it is my right to know this information? I would like to understand how a lump in my breast that cannot be diagnosed using a mammogram or ultrasound (both of which were done twice) is not a risk to my health and well-being, despite the very obvious fact that it could have been a cancerous lump, I do not see how that is not considered a risk - I had been having it checked and looked at multiple times over a 7 month period - the lump did not decrease in size, for 7 months it was scanned and checked to try and determine exactly what it was before a biopsy was decided on. The decision to use my MSA tells me that Discovery does not care at all about my health - it's about money and profit, because I am not older and no-one in my family besides my grandmother and great grandmother have died from cancer yet I am not considered enough of a risk for you to pay for something that should be a minimum standard of care. In addition, the call centre agent dealing with Milpark Hospital, who attempted to get this procedure authorised, never once communicated with me or my husband - the people actually paying for the medical aid to tell us this was not authorised from risk and would be coming from my MSA. I want the name of the person who did that and I want there to be consequences, it is entirely unacceptable that my medical aid does not inform me of decisions they have made that will impact my entire families health for the rest of the year BEFORE I have a procedure done. I am absolutely disgusted with Discovery and wish I had never moved from Fedhealth for the total lack of concern or service I have received from this for profit organisation.
