DIscovery medical aid does not pay for claims

Discovery medical aid is said to be the best in South Africa. I am astounded that they have used the loophole when you are out of the country to set a hold on claims and state that a virus infection is a pre-existing condition and simply refuse to pay for any claims that are made. Even after my waiting period has stopped. My wife had to be hospitalised due to infections from the rhinovirus, and still they refuse to pay. They then give you the runaround by stating that medical panels need to be reviewed and never come back to you. This is now ongoing for weeks. I had to go and see the doctors today and was diagnosed with covid and medical aid. Guess what? They will not pay for the doctor's fees even though the doctor is on the list. The automated system just stops all payments. I am expecting full reimbur*****t to be made and an apology... a virus cannot be a pre-existing condition...
