Discovery Medical Aid

Morning, I realize that I am not the only one with this issue with Discovery but I am going to put it out there in any case. I have been recently diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer and my drama definitely did not end there. My doctor who is a highly specialized surgeon only operates at Vergelegen which is in Somerset West. The day before I was admitted I was told I need to pay R 11'700 before admission because it was not on the Network I was told to go to Stellenbosch. I have found out that Stellenbosch actually does not have this type of Surgeon there and since I pointed this out to Discovery I am now told that I have to go to a hospital in Cape Town. Is Discovery seriously prepared for me to redo all the tests as well as go back into surgery for another Biopsy as this is how Specialist work they want their own tests and not handed seconds. Up until today no one from this Top Medical Aid has had the decency to phone and explain. All I want is my monies back from them. They have all the test ect. and they also know about me going back because of an emergency and yes had to pay once again. Come on Discovery show us that you have compassion
