Discovery Medical Aid and NETCARE AKASIA PRE ADMISSION(INVESTIGATION) COSTS

So I had an emergency incident where I had to be taken to Netcare AKASIA Pretoria, When I got there I was told they cannot not assist me before I paid R750 for opening a file, at the time I had exhausted my annual MSAs, There were a few other charges and tests that they wanted me to pay for investigation before they could admit me into the hospital, because I did not even have further amounts for tests, the Dr told me I am gonna have to go to a public hospital as I do not have medical savings. When my family came to pick me up, I had to pay another R779 for the Dr, So now I want to know. what does it mean to have a hospital cover under Discovery Essesial Saver if will be told I cannot be admitted for I don't have day-to-day savings. What does day-to-day have to do with me having to be admitted, and why do I have to pay when I am already paying R2400 monthly on my medical aid? I am so disappointed. someone can die because they do not have MSA's for "pre-admission investigation" .
