Discovery Medical Aid

I had a very bad experience with Discovery Medical Aid recently. My son got injured in school while playing with his friends and while I was on my way to fetch him in order to take him to hospital I phoned Discovery first in order to get information regarding the network hospital aligned with my medical aid plan and i was told that I can take him to Groenkloof hospital which I did. My son was in so much in pain and upon my arrival he was immediately given attention at hospital as and as well disclosed my medical aid plan option when completed the forms accordingly. He was operated the same day and discharged the following day. I have been informed that the doctor who operated him was outside their network and had charged 200 percent outside Discovery rates. The medical aid short paid the hospital because of these. How on hell will I know if the doctor is within their network during an emergency situation? Now they claim that I owe that specific doctor R 8200.00. My current plan should pay 100% when admitted to a network hospital. Discovery Medical Aid is full of ****** and I regret the day I joined them.
