Discovery Maternity Benefit a sham

I've been with Discovery for 15 years now. It seems when I need them the most, they hide behind invisible Terms and Conditions. I activated my maternity benefit with 13k in my savings account. Less than 2 months later, and my savings is depleted. This benefit has not assisted me in any way and I was told that the whole pregnancy would be covered.

Everything from the first trimester pregnancy blood tests to Gynae visits were taken off my savings.

Wrt to NIPT testing, you'd expect responses should be prompt and competent for such critical genetic testing. This sort of testing is time sensitive. Seeking guidance and only attaching a motivational letter from my specialist, i did not receive any response for 4 days. I have since sent the 1st trimester test results and the foetal specialists screening test results and I get the same response I received on the first email I've sent with the motivational letter.

I'm shocked, disappointed and now scared of what will happen next. Not being covered after diligently paying for medical aid is not something I saw myself dealing with at what's supposed to be a happy time in our lives
