Discovery making me chase my tail

I previously went for an operation on my knee with a network Doctor, and after running the course of recovery and rehab, the pain was still there, and the very same thing happened after the operation that I went into the hospital to fix (A loud pop and jolt of my knee on the outside when training)

I decided to do some reviews and went to consult with a knee specialist. He said that I've torn my ACL, and he isn't quite sure how they missed it earlier. So now I'm in the position where I've asked for some grace to go to a hospital outside of my network, only because of my experience with the previous doctor who was on my network. I felt like I wasted so much time with the trauma of going under, only for the issue to still not be remedied. So I am obviously reluctant to have to go back to a doctor on my network that didn't sort it out initially.

The medical aid asked for a motivation letter from the Doctor, that was sent through. Now they ask for me to submit proof that the injury falls under the Prescribed Minimum Benefit. I took the liberty of going through the list myself, and a ruptured ACL doesn't seem to be in that category. The doctor mentioned the diagnosis in the motivation letter, so I'm not sure why they're sending me around in circles, all the while I'm hobbling around just trying to get this issue sorted.

I wouldn't normally seek another Doctor, but the pain and frustration of needing to go through all of this again because it was misdiagnosed the first time around is so frustrating. And I feel like I'm being asked to jump around and send all these things through when they know what outcome they're leading me towards.
