Discovery makes incorrect payment and I pay!
I am so unhappy, I have reached my self-payment gap and passed it already. I am currently on my \above threshold"savings. I submitted 2 claims from an oral surgeon that requested I pay and then claim back from my medical aid. The total for the 2 claims are R3349.60. I noticed on Discovery's online timeline that only R1880.77 would be paid back. When I called discovery I was told that difference is above discovery rate - Fine. I understood this"

I investigated your query and confirmed that the amount owing to the Scheme is valid. We processed a claim earlier this year and this claim accumulated towards your Annual Threshold and assisted in closing your Self Payment Gap (SPG). This claim was later reprocessed to be funded from a different benefit. As this claim is no longer being funded from your available day to day benefits, this created an amount owing to the Scheme. I have sent a detailed email with more information in regard to you.
I do understand that you may not be satisfied with the feedback provided however it is in line with the Scheme rules.
