Discovery made a mistake !!!

My 80 year old Dad has been battling with a toenail that was deformed and continually festering. After several weeks of treatment without success his doctor advised that it would be best to remove the toenail. As my Dad is a diabetic and has a pacemaker the doctor said as it was his big toe it would be advisable to perform the operation in-hospital.<br> <br> The doctor gave my Dad all the necessary codes to obtain authorization from Discovery. After spending over an hour on the phone and being sent from pillar to post he was given the authorization code. This was done last week and the surgery was scheduled for Thursday 17 March 2016. The surgery took place and my Dad was released on the same day. This morning Friday 18 March 2016 he receives a call from Discovery stating that they made a mistake and they are not paying for the operation. They said they would send a letter to the hospital asking if he could pay off. He is a state pensioner who gets a whole R1280.00 per month. I as his daughter pay for his medical aid and supply him with food and a roof over his head. How is this man expected to pay this off ? So you made a mistake Discovery- well deal with it. Pathetic !!!
