Discovery Keycare Plus Pathetic Service

Discovery Keycare Plus On Wednesday 28 June 2023 I fell and hurt my knee. We were on our way to Northwest to visit my parents. My primary and secondary doctors are in Tzaneen, Limpopo. As it wasn’t a life-or-death situation I didn’t go to casualties. I went to see a doctor in Potchefstroom on Thursday 29 June 2023 as I was in a lot of pain. The doctor referred me to an orthopedic surgeon, but the medical aid would not accept the referral as it wasn’t done by my primary doctor (which is in Tzaneen and I’m in Potchefstroom, Northwest). We got home on Sunday afternoon and on Monday, 3 July 2023, I was referred to the orthopedic surgeon by my primary doctor. We are already on Wednesday, one week after my injury, and still the medical aid did not approve the referral. In the meantime, I have to endure the pain! According to the medical aid it might be approved by tomorrow, which is Thursday 6 July 2023! This is pathetic and unacceptable!!!! I’m an adult, so I can manage the pain but really!!!!!! So more than a week later I can maybe go to the specialist but only if I can get an appointment! I can only make an appointment once I have the authorization number. This is ridiculous!
