DISCOVERY KEYCARE

My mother is a member of Discovery Keycare. She can ONLY use Pharmapress for hypertension as she has side effects from other medication for hypertension (constant cough, swollen feet etc) She is 78 years old but still discovery do not want to pay this medication as it is not on the list. Also note that this is the ONLY CHRONIC MEDICATION she use. Both me and the doctor submitted forms and motivation for this. Now they told me she must go for blood tests to show the side effects. How pathetic is this to ask that an old lady must use the medication again (that do not work for her) and to get the side effects again and then go for blood test to proof this???? Could not believe discovery is asking this from a patient specially with age of 78.
