Discovery key Care plus

My husband and I are on Discovery Key Care Plus and they approved my husband's glocoma and his heart medication on chronic. He had a cataract removed and a lense implant I November last year and the opthalmologist prescribed 2 additional eye drops which he is required to use during the recovery period and Discover refuses to pay for it resulting in my husband losing his sight in that eye. I begged and pleaded with them, to no avail. They just hit us with over R300.00 increase in January and we are really, really struggling to make ends meet so cannot afford to pay for the drops. Also, as part of my husband's heart meds, he has to have blood pressure tablets which costs just over R110.00 which they also refuse to pay for. As it is we had to go to doctors on their list after being with our doctor for 25 years. Is money so important that people don't care about the elderly and I sent them proof of my income which reduces year on year.
