Discovery is the worst medical/ Urgent boycott of discovery needed/ #DiscoveryMustFall

Discovery Health remains the worst medical aid I have ever dealt with for the 2nd year running. My work forces us to use the medical aid however here are a list of issues to date. I have my wife and child on the medical aswell and pay a fortune every month.

Issue 1: My wife and I planned to have a child as usual I moved her onto my medical aid and while filling the papers with them. My wife conceived which was great as we just began trying. Discovery refused to pay a single cent for the birth and scans and gyne's . She even went into labour early an under extreame harm to herself and the baby discovery declined to treat her. Claiming some technicality to get out of it.

Issue 2: My wife has unfortunately picked up an issue eating and breathing. Could be cancer to some blockage in her throat. We have been referred to a specialist which is conducting tests. Discovery has pipped up again they will not be paying for anything as the Specialist is seeing my wife as an out patient.

Numerous other issues as well. Discovery is great at collecting their money every month 5 or 6K. They are not good at letting members claim for anything and use every little excuse they can find to decline payment.

I would strongly not advise anyone using discovery for anything. As a member you will probably need to take them to court every time you have a claim. This is my personal experience with them so far.
