Discovery Health...Govt NHI Plan is better than yours

On 2 Feb my wife was ill and I rushed her to Crompton hospital which is a Discovery network hospital. As pet Dr Darby Khan Reynold, she required hospitalization. The hospital tried to contact Discovery, whom was not available to approve the authorisation. The hospital requested R23 000 upfront prior to admission as Discovery was not available to authorize On 3 Feb, Discovery wrote "Discovery Health Medical Scheme: We are reviewing your authorisation request. We asked DR DARBY KHAN REYNOLDS AND STRAUSS for more information and will update you on the progress.

On 12 Feb, Discovery wrote Discovery Health Medical Scheme: We are reviewing your authorisation request. We asked your doctor for more information and will update you on the progress

On the 13 Feb, Discovery wrote Discovery Health Member: Please note that your Authorisation has been declined. No Receipt of PMA from DR ARBY KHAN REYNOLDS AND STRAUSS

How sick and pathetic is that. It took 12 day for Discovery to resolve, unfavorably Crompton hospital was not nominated by us, but by Discovery. It's not our responsibility to manage the doctors yet our premiums are paid timeously Discovery Health and Crompton Hospital stinks with poor service delivery I wonder if they would to the same to Discovery CEO and shareholders Well. I bet not We have since canceled our medical aid with Discovery Governments NHI plan will be gladly accepted by US
