Discovery Health - Unprofessional and Unreliable

I am on quite a expensive and comprehensive plan with Discovery yet my son's orthodontics accounts cannot be paid by the plan and everything through my savings. Who has ever heard that orthodontics could ever sit within a cost allocation of R4000 in savings? Just the first consultation depleted my savings and now I cant even get Panados on medical aid, even though I have to keep my paying my premium of over R5K per month until the end of the year. When I called the call centre to see what could be done, the person could not give me a constructive response. Two years ago my son fractured his collar bone and everything was paid from my savings. Which meant that from September of that year to the end of December I could not use what I am paying for everything. This product does nothing for consumers and I am not sure how they are still around. I've researched simpler plans on the site but even the site is not consumer-friendly. The smaller medical aid schemes are definitely worth a check. Discovery Health has become as bad as Eskom.
