Discovery health takes taking advantage of their members to another level. Highly disappointed

I am a member of discovery health and have been treated shamefully by them. I am on coastal saver and has been with my gyne for over 6 months and every visit a claim was sent to discovery but I knew my savings was not much so I didn't mind them not responding to my claims. I then gave birth and my doctor's bill came up to about R24000 and for the first time they respond that they will not settle my bill and gave a letter that they did not give authorisation and that my plan does not cover my doctor therefore I'm liable to all the bill personally. My doctor tells me there's no way he could have done anything without authorisation. Obviously I'm lying in bed and am not the one requesting authorisations and especially since I had an emergency cesarean. It does not end there another shocker, my baby was in distress so I had to go for an emergency cesarean cos the ambilical cord had wrapped around her neck twice. So the anesthesiologist came and bill came to about R10000 and discovery health only says they will pay 30% of the bill. But from my knowledge if the cesarean is not elective but it's an emergency then they cover 100%. I am so appalled and highly disappointed at the way I treated especially during this time of my life. They have ****** joy from my moment and feel all members should be made aware of this treatment that after all the paying this company seeks to destroy and support and fulfil their obligations as an insurance company. Very disappointed and angry member.
