Discovery Health stole R3730 straight out of my bank account and are refusing to give it back and there is nothing I can do about it.

I have been a client of Discovery Medical Insure for over 17 years and have been paying my subscriptions via a debt order, the only way that they and most other insurance companies accept payment. Well Discovery stole R3730 straight out of my bank account and are refusing to give it back and there is nothing I can do about it. On the 3rd of Jan 2024 they just helped themselves to R1876 above my normal subscription from my bank account. When I first became a client of Discovery Medical they had offices you could visit when something like that happened but nowadays, since Bidvest took them over, the only access a client has to them is through a call center. It took over twenty minutes to get through to someone and that person assured me if I sent them details they would rectify the situation and that my next subscription would be covered by the money they took. I sent them the documents but on the 2nd of Feb they stole another R1876 from my bank account. I spent another half hour on the phone with their call center, which cost me over R250 in cell phone charges, only to find out there was absolutely nothing I could do about it. The only option left to me was to immediately cancel my medical insurance and empty out my bank account to prevent them from *****ing more money from me. That left me without medical cover until I could find another company to cover me. So a major corporation with which you have a debt order can just reach into your personal bank account and help themselves to whatever money they want and there is nothing you can do about it. Obviously a company that *****s money from its clients cannot be trusted. If you pay for medical cover and have a major health issue costing R100's of thousands, what is to stop them from refusing to cover your costs? Remember the only access you have to them is through a call center. Hiring a lawyer, besides costing a fortune. would be useless against their team of highly paid lawyers. I have never felt more helpless in my entire life. I will never deal with Discovery again.
