Discovery Health specialist network professionals

Cant believe that Dr Ingrid Louw is one of the very few rheumatologists on Discovery Health network specialist providers. After a disasterous misdiagnoses and a very slapdash and expensive interaction with her a few years ago, I noticed today that she is still on their panel. I did research this woman on line and find quite a few complaints regarding her treatment of patients in all aspects from her manner to her professional incompetence. She did not even look at blood tests sent to her prior to my consultation or read any of the file documents and details emailed to her. She looked at my fingers and toes and told me I had gout and prescribed medication and diet for this. I was so ill and her prescribed treatment did not help at all. I went through numerous other medcial tests with other doctors and ended up in hospital with an excessivley high inflamation count. 2 cortisone drips later and a consultation from a very good rheumatolgist diagnonsed me with PMR - AUTO IMMUNE CONDITION. I left hospital feeling much better. Dr Ingrid Louw wasted 12 months of my life while I felt absolutely ill under her care. I am appalled she is still on Discovery's panel. Probably because Discoery dont want to pay the rate that decent RHEUMATOLOGISTS charge and these good rheumatologists dont want to work for the minimal amount Discovery will pay them if they contract in. Its just so depresssing.
