Discovery Health ****

<p>I have been with discovery for 2 years,paying close to 3000 rand per month and almost 60 000 over two years. My chronic medications were not covered so that has been additional cost of 1400 pm. Not once has an appointment,a medication, a specialist visit, ANYTHING over these years come off my plan besides to exacerbate my measley medical savings. So ultimately i pay around 3000 per month to recieve 5000 per YEAR of savi fs and everything else i cover. I was in the Emergency room this week and I told myself-well this is what medical aid is for. I dont mind spendinf these exorbitant amounts monthly knowing that if i am in an accident or need emergency care it will be covered. I was managed in the emergency unit that night and not admitted to a ward-so discovery are REFUSING to pay one cent!!!! My medical savings are exacerbated,( big surprise) so my medical aid will not cover an EMERGENCY visit as i was not admitted. I callrd to speak to a manager and the call was dropped. I am absolutely disgusted and looking at changing providers.</p> <p> </p>
