Discovery Health - Pathetic service.

Extremely dissatisfied with the level of service from Discovery Health's claims and claims adjustments departments.

My daughter was born on 01 March 2018 at Olivedale hospital. On 04 March 2018 we took her to Ampath for the Newborn Screening tests to be done. At that point, she had not been named or registered and had therefore not been added to the medical aid and therefore the invoice given only stated Baby Naiker. I submitted a claim on 16 March 2018 for the amount as we had paid cash for the screening.

I received an email from the healthinfo email address regarding the claim stating the process on how to claim. I called them to find out the reason for the email as claims are generally automatically processed. I was then told that the practice number and procedure codes were missing from the statement. I was asked to call Ampath and request an updated statement with the missing information and i was asked to submit it to ********** I have since emailed them the adjusted statement on 20 March 2018 and received no response apart from the automated response. I sent a follow up on 28 March 2018 and another on 05 April 2018 requesting feedback and not a single response.

Absolutely unacceptable service.
