Discovery Health, nothing more than a *****

I joined my husbands medical aid, Discovery Classic Saver. I filled in the forms honestly and expected a 3month waiting period as I have chronic conditions which has been well controlled for the last 13 years.

However, Discovery increased my waiting period to 12 months and that is not the worst. Even when I access the Dr for a sinus infection, they have linked it to one of my chronic conditions and refuse to pay for the dr's visit or my medication.

The call centre agent say that should I be hospitalised for any reason if they can link it to my chronic condition, they will not cover the payment. According to the email I received, the way they have written and explained my chronic conditions, everything is related to it.

What an ********* company, who will rob individuals like this. When my husband queried the sinus infection, the call centre agent said the matter would be escalated. We have received no feedback other than the Dr calling for their money.

Sis Discovery Health, every month for 12 months you will pocket R2300.00 for my additional payment contribution, but you are nothing better than the common *****, at least I can see them coming.
