DISCOVERY HEALTH - NOT PAYING FOR BLOOD TESTS TO HELP SAVE YOUR LIFE , THEY NEED A CHRONIC CONDITION FIRST ????

Discovery refuses to pay for blood tests done by Gp, these were bloods tests done to determine if there is a further problem with the patient , the explanation for not paying is because the medical savings is depleted , but if you are in hospital , all is covered , so your gp must put you in hospital to do routine tests ?????

I have requested the consultant who called me 2 days ago first find out from the GP more info as to why the Bloods tests were done , I was promised an email , TWO days later , I did not get the email,

But Lancet has already contacted me as to the unpaid bill,

Are GP's not good enough to do blood tests that could help save you from having a chronic condition, which in the end will cost the medical aid more , The consultant was adamant to send a chronic form for us to complete, when she could not understand the GP needed to test for a certain condition , before diagnosing if this is a chronic condition or not,
