Discovery Health medical aid a *******

After paying nearly R3700 per month for me and my daughter, on the Classical saver option, Discovery health has left a bitter taste in my mouth. It started last year when my daughter went to visit a dentist. She was told I had to pay and additional +R930 due to shortfall. I did not worry that much, as I though it was because I had joined s then referred to see a Specialist, something wrong with her wisdom teeth. I made an appointment with the Specialist, and was told to bring R900 in consultation fee, though I told them I had medical aid. I was told I could recover that from my medical aid. Specialist found that my daughter needed to have surgery to remove four of her wisdom teeth. They gave me a quotation which I was to submit to my medical aid. But, there was a co-payment for the day clinic where surgery would take place (I was told to pay R4 350 upfront), the Specialist needed R2 900 upfront as well. The quote for the surgery amounted to R6 563). Now, Discovery, after going through the quote, they tell me out of the R6 563, they are willing to pay R4 279.60 leaving me to pay with a difference of R2 283.40 plus the R4 350 required by the day clinic, and the R2 900 required by the Specialist. R9 533.40 which has to come out of my pocket while Discovery gladly takes R3 700 from me every moth. Don't get me started on optometry, putting all the money in their MSA. My question is, why do I have medical aid if this is what I have to pay? I am no different than anyone without medical aid.
