Discovery Health go to the ends of the earth NOT to pay you.

One of my Kids went into theater for a basic dental procedure. I was assured by the Dr's and day hospital that everything will be covered and I don't even need authorization.

I still called Discovery before we went to be 100% sure and was again told that I don't need authorization as its for basic dentistry.

The hospital and dentist were paid in full at discovery rates, unfortunately the anesthetist is not covered on my Discovery Plan. Therefore Discovery aren't paying anything towards the anesthetist not even the discovery rate.

I called Discovery to query it and I was told I should have asked for authorization because that Dr wont be covered and had I asked I would have found out.

Go Figure that one out !!!
