Discovery health: double standards

Good morning On classic saver plan was decline for my gastric bypass operation thats fine but I have to get a Hiatus hernia repair & Nissen fundoplication operation.

I submitted 2 quotes and the one mentioned my Hiatus hernia repair & Nissen fundoplication operation.

Discovery said they need the quote split as some code on there is for the gastic bypass. My Dr's room said they can't split it as it's one operation that include it.

I phoned Discovery as nobody was coming back to me regarding this question...they say they dont have a problem to pay for my Hiatus hernia repair & Nissen fundoplication but I need to have two separate operation ...

My question is why? Im taking of work for my gastric bypass operation im getting anesthetic and going to be in hospital. So why can't they say okay Nadia im going to offer 'n percentage of your whole total to be paid with 'n hernia operation... i need to stay 1 night in hospital anyway, get one session with dietitian, one session with physio, need a dr & assistant to operate on me and I will need a anesthetic.

So im shocked that they want another operation and that I must go under anesthetic again, take again time of work and go again though pain and i have 2 small kids. Where i can just had everything at one go. Not making sense.

Very weird...a company thats all about health but I need to go twice though all this just that they can pay for the hernia operation. Shocked
