📣 Living With CIDP & Fighting for Treatment — I Need Discovery Health to Do Better

I don’t usually share my personal medical struggles publicly, but today I have no choice.

I live with CIDP (Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy) along with several other chronic illnesses that complicate my treatment options. My latest lumbar puncture shows elevated protein levels in my LP fluid — even higher than in September— confirming disease progression.

Right now:

* I cannot walk without assistance * I have a tremor in my right hand * I am in constant 24/7 pain * I am unable to receive standard CIDP treatments because my additional conditions cause severe reactions * My specialists have repeatedly explained this to Discovery.

Yet Discovery Health is still refusing approval, demanding the exact same results and reports they have already been given. Some tests they insist on cannot physically be done because my function is now zero — this has been medically documented and submitted.

I’m stuck in a devastating cycle: 👉 If I’m discharged, my treatment will be declined again. 👉 If I stay, they refuse to continue paying for my admission. 👉 Meanwhile, my condition worsens.

This is not just admin. This is my life, my mobility, and my dignity on the line.

I’m asking Discovery, publicly and directly: Please approve the treatment my doctors have urgently recommended and stop delaying care that is medically necessary.

I’m exhausted. I’m scared. I’m in pain. And I deserve the healthcare that I pay for.
