Discovery Health Claims

Some doctors require patients to pay upfront and then claim back from their medical aid. Which is fine and fair. What I don't understand is, once I've paid the doctors, why does Discovery Health pay them again ?

This has now happened multiple times. Not once, not twice, but Multiple Times! I pay the doctor, submit my claim and then I see on the website "Paid to Healthcare Professional"

Really, what is the Point of having Discovery Health, if I'm going to pay and not get my money back ? If you phone Discovery Health regarding THEIR WRONG PAYMENTS, then I need to provide a proof of payment from two weeks back. When all of this was provided when the claim was submitted.

The worst part is, Discovery Health has an auto reply here on Hellopeter: We’ve noted your concerns and we’re investigating the matter. We’ll contact you with feedback as soon as possible. Regards Discovery Health Servicing Team

I am sure nothing is every done about any of these complaints.
