Discovery Health - Breach of Contract - Non payment of Hospitalisation

After being a member of Discovery Heath for a number of years and paid hundreds of thousands of Rand in Membership fees, I was served a notice of intention to proceed with a judgement against me for non payment by Discovery Health of a Hospital claim dating back to April 2016 for an amount of just of R10 000. There are 4 members on this membership and we have never used anything but our MSA and some years not even all of our MSA. The one time that my daughter was hospitalised, Discovery comes up with excuse after excuse about declining the claim. Discovery is in breach of contract because my plan clearly states 100% in hospital cover. I have lodged a complaint with Discovery (1st Step) and received a call a few days later stating that all now looks in order and that I will have confirmation by 13 June 2018. I called Discovery this morning, 13 June 2018 and was once again told the claim has been declined. Discovery is nothing more than *********** and is a Company who does not value their clients. Discovery Health has scored all the way on the hundreds of thousands of Rand I have paid to date for medical aid and now have a claim of R10 000 declined. I will be cancelling this Medical policy by COB 15 June 2018 if this issue is not confirmed as resolved and approved for payment. I will also be taking the matter to the Council for Medical aids as well as institute legal action against Discovery for breach of contract. Unacceptable.
